Strategic Pricing Discussions
NDS WA in partnership with the Curtin University Not-for-Profit Initiative hosted a free Strategic Pricing Discussion Forum for disability sector organisations, facilitated by Professor David Gilchrist. The forum provided an opportunity for finance representatives and senior management from the disability sector to have a facilitated discussion and reach agreement on the sector's approach to pricing. Brian Chapman from Therapy Focus contributed to the discussion by providing an overview of his organisation’s approach to responding to the recent Professional Services tender. This event was followed by a teleconference for disability services providers in regional areas. Presentations from the sessions and brief notes are available for download.

NDS Costing & Pricing Tool and User Manual
This is part of the disability sector's response to the whole-of-government procurement reforms that involve a shift from 'price-taking' to 'price-setting'. Post the reform, organisations will be required to demonstrate greater knowledge and transparency around costs when undertaking negotiations with funding bodies. Furthermore, organisations will be operating in a more competitive environment whereby the pricing of services will be key to ensuring sustainability. The NDS Pricing and Costing Tool will assist not-for-profit disability organisations in identifying the cost of service delivery and developing a sustainable price for services. It strikes a balance between objectivity and subjectivity in arriving at a final price of service delivery.
The NDS Pricing and Costing Tool and the User Manual were developed by Professor David Gilchrist from School of Accounting, Curtin University and are available for download here.
