'More than Talking' Training
The ‘More than Talking’ program is a 3-day workshop presented by the Disability Services Commission for Behaviour Support Consultants and behaviour support champions (with prior Positive Behaviour Support training desirable) designed to help people who support individuals with disability to better understand the functions and reasons for challenging behaviour and the role communication plays in this. In doing this, the training will support participants to understand their role in creating and maintaining a supportive communication environment that meets the individual’s ongoing needs.
Training dates:
Group 7 - 4, 5 & 18 March 2015; Group 8 - 11, 12 & 25 May 2015; Group 9 - 5, 6 & 19 August 2015; Group 10 - 19 & 20 October and 2 November 2015.
