2012–2014 Quality Service Improvement Grants Showcase Workshop
This showcase event marks the conclusion of the successful Quality Service Improvement Grants (QSIG) funded by the Disability Services Commission, and coordinated by NDS WA since 2011.
Projects completed using 2012–2014 Quality Service Improvement Grants will be showcased and promoted to the disability sector during this event. These projects include:
Enable Southwest Inc. Jumpstart' micro-enterprise project
Epic Roebourne Self Directed Support Group Project
Nascha et al From little things big things grow – workshops to support service improvement
Perth Home Care Services et al Supported decision-making - Me too! project
Rocky Bay Imagining better - Better than what? – a project to advance self-direction by families
Rocky Bay et al Conversations that matter – training to develop facilitation skills in coordination staff
Teem Treasure Holistic Aboriginal training for healing and positive change
The day will conclude with a workshop will be facilitated by Aha! Consulting. The workshop will explore the overall impact the QSIG program has had on shaping organisational practice and improving the quality of services delivered; with key learnings, barriers and potential solutions identified. Future directions for proactive quality service improvement initiatives will also be investigated, with a focus on how to undertake projects in an environment of reform and one with limited funding resources available.
