Child Abuse and Neglect from a Manager's Perspective

Do you manage staff who have contact with children and their families? 

This one day workshop is designed for those who manage or supervise staff that have contact with children and their families and who, as a result, may have concerns that a child/young person has been harmed or is at risk of significant harm.

The workshop will explore:

• Statutory definitions of child abuse and neglect
• Issues staff may face
• Duty of care and the role of management
• Development of policies and procedures
• procedures for contacting the Department of Child Protection or the Police
