Working with People with an ABI – Tricks of the Trade
Attend this informative workshop to understand the effects of acquired brain injury on thinking and behaviour, and identify strategies to address these effects.
You will:-
- Understand what an ABI is and the signs and symptoms of an ABI and some key medical terminology;
- Understand the effects of Acquired Brain Injury on thinking, motivation and behaviour;
- Using theoretical models and practical case scenarios to identify effective behaviour management strategies;
- Support people with an ABI to be self-directed regarding participation in community life; and
- Receive resource DVD, written notes and pamphlets to consolidate learning.
