Sector Training Activities
Costing and Pricing
Understand the concept of costing and pricing and utilise the NDS Costing and Pricing Tool. Participants will learn to identify the cost structures of their organisations and calculate a sustainable service delivery unit price.
Presented by the Department of Finance and NDS WA, this session has been developed in response to the significant contracting reforms that are being implemented as part of the Delivering Community Services in Partnership (DCSP) Policy across the Government and not for profit community sectors.
A key aspect of the Procurement Reform is for Government agencies to assist Disability Service Organisations with the shift in funding arrangements at both the state and Commonwealth levels. Professor David Gilchrist from the Curtin Not-for-profit Initiative will provide a practical workshop focussing on the 2nd round of the Individual Funding Tender. This workshop will assist organisations within the Disability Sector to cost and price services accurately. The workshop is intended to be hands-on allowing participants to understand the concept of costing and pricing and utilise the NDS Costing and Pricing Tool to do so. Using case studies and presentations, participants will be able to identify the cost structures of their organisations and to calculate a service delivery unit price within a sustainable framework.
