Session 2 - Oh No.. Not Another plan! - Supporting Families to Engage in the Planning Process
This workshop will be delivered by individuals and families from Valued Lives Foundation.
Effective planning enables people with disability and their families to consider the possibilities of how they would like life to be now and into the future. There is no doubt though that for some individuals and families, planning can be difficult. It takes time, energy and strength and a commitment from all people involved. Too much planning from a range of different services can result in people getting sense of “plan fatigue.”
This workshop will be delivered by individuals and families. They will share their knowledge and stories around their experiences in engaging in planning including;
- What good planning looks like from our perspective?
- How has it made a difference in our lives?
- Exploring what we mean by “plan fatigue”
- When there is too much planning but not enough action?
How can services work in partnership with us to make planning seamless, effective and a positive experience for everyone?
