Transition to Retirement (TTR) Information Seminar
Transition to Retirement (TTR) has been identified as a key issue for the disability sector in the coming years. NDS WA invites you to find out more in our Transition to Retirement Information Seminar.
Utilising an interactive workshop approach, the seminar will provide the opportunity to explore and introduce:
- Current practices relating to TTR
- TTR principles that can be formally considered and adopted by support services across the sector
- Information materials to support the TTR planning process
This seminar forms part of the Transition to Retirement project, for which National Disability Services (NDS) WA is implementing a number of activities, including:
- Conducting case study-based action research with 24 selected individuals, currently working in an Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE) and nearing retirement;
- Researching the profile of people with disabilities aged 45 years and over who need to retire from their West Australian ADE workplace within the next 5 to 10 years;
- Developing resources and a training package to support retirement planning; and
- Facilitating professional development for support services to enhance current practice relating to retirement planning.
