Self-Directed Supports and Services
This workshop will explore what self- directed supports and services is all about, the values and principles underpinning the approach and what this means for you and your organisation.
The implementation of Self-directed supports and services will mean that service providers need to change and develop new ways of working with people. Services will be required to deliver supports that are more effective and responsive to people’s needs. For individuals and their families it is now possible for them to imagine and obtain a lifestyle that is considerably more autonomous, what will this mean to you and your organisation?
This workshop will explore what self- directed supports and services is all about and the values and principles underpinning the approach.
We will look at the challenges, the opportunities and the realities for both service users and service providers as the self-directed supports and services agenda progresses in WA.
