Procurement Reform: Costing and Pricing using the NDS Costing and Pricing Tool – Advanced
This session has been developed in response to the significant contracting reforms that are being implemented as part of the Delivering Community Services in Partnership (DCSP) Policy across the Government and not for profit community sectors. These reforms apply to all disability services organisations.
A key aspect of the Procurement Reform is for Government agencies to assist Disability Service Organisations with the shift to 'price-making' National Disability Services (NDS) has engaged Professor David Gilchrist from Curtin Business School of Accounting to develop a Costing and Pricing tool and provide training sessions with a practical focus assisting organisations within the Disability Sector to cost and price services accurately. This series of tailored training is intended to be hands-on allowing participants to understand the concept of costing and pricing and utilise the NDS Costing and Pricing Tool to do so. Using case studies and presentations, participants will be able to identify the cost structures of their organisations and to calculate a service delivery unit price within a sustainable framework.
Aimed at:
- Disability Service Organisations with three to ten programs
- Middle tier ORGANISATIONS in terms of turnover ($2m to $6m)
- Training will assume existing knowledge of basic Costing and Pricing principals
- Suitable for staff with financial skills
- Organisations that might have an accountant / experienced bookkeeper
