Position: Support Officer
Job Overview: • Metro North and South • Part-Time Positions- 31- 55 hours per fortnight. • Fixed term contracts- 60- 55 hours per fortnight. The team at People, Skills & Community assist people to develop as individuals, have opportunities for social participation and be valued members of their community. We focus on providing a person centred approach to planning and decision making, ensuring the support provided to each person is based on their own wishes, interests, talents, aspirations and needs. We are looking for positive and determined individuals with a ‘can-do’ attitude to join our dedicated team. To be considered for this role applicants will demonstrate the following attributes: Essential: • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; • The ability to work well within a team; • The ability to connect and network in the Community; • Compassion and empathy towards people with disability; • Current “C” drivers licence. Desirable: • First Aid Certificate; • Certificate III in Disability, Community Services or similar; • Experience working with people with medium-high support needs.
