An Introduction to the Recovery Approach & Recovery in a World Context
AN INTRODUCTION TO THE RECOVERY APPROACH is a half-day workshop that explores the meaning of recovery and makes explicit the principles and elements involved: how recovery looks from the outside and how it works on the inside. It provides participants with a real understanding of how to provide the best support for someone on a journey of recovery.
RECOVERY IN A WORLD CONTEXT: Where has the concept of recovery come from? Why should we believe that it works? This half-day workshop explains how response to mental suffering has developed over time and how we need to improve the services we provide to people who experience mental distress.
These sessions are suitable for:
- People with a lived experience of mental health challenges, their families, carers & friends
- Mental Health Workers and other professionals
- People with a genuine interest in this topic
Costs (inc. GST): $55.00 each
