Using the Outcomes Star to Improve Services
Presented by Richmond Fellowship WA and ARAFMI.
The Outcomes Star can be used to help people evaluate their skills and competencies and track their progress over time. It can also help to identify what successful change will look like, enabling the celebration of success and increasing people’s understanding of areas which need more work. Using the Outcomes Star can also be a great value in evidencing an organisation’s work, providing support for funding applications, along with information to inform reports to commissioners, service reviews, quality assurance and improving client involvement. Learning Outcomes: On completion of this course you will: • Appreciate what the Outcomes Star system can do, and how it can help to improve services • Understand how the Star may be used in key working sessions • Have the ability to use the Star to identify both the individual and wider impacts of your organisation This course would be suitable for: Anyone interested in this topic including, but not limited to: • Consumers • Carers • Interested family, friends and community members • Students • Service providers including: • Recovery and social workers • Mental health professionals • Alcohol and drug workers • Justice workers • Sexual health workers • Counsellors
