Sector Training Activities
Using the Outcomes Star to Improve Services
About Stuart Bakewell
Stuart has worked in the voluntary sector for over 20 years, and currently works as an Area Manager for St Mungo’s, a large homelessness charity based in London and the South West of England. He has a professional background in providing mental health services, and is also a qualified auricular acupuncturist.
His current work involves staff and service development, strategic planning and management responsibility for a wide range of supported housing services. Stuart has played a lead role in the adoption and implementation of recovery based practice within the organisation, and recently in establishing St Mungo’s Recovery College, which provides a range of educational and learning opportunities to clients, staff, volunteers and also to the wider community.
Stuart is passionate about improving service delivery across the sector. He has actively contributed to policy development and innovation, and advocates widely for systemic change.
Richmond Fellowship WA and Arafmi proudly present this unique training opportunity with Stuart Bakewell.
Using the Outcomes Star to Improve Services
The Outcomes Star can be used to help people evaluate their skills and competencies and track their progress over time. It can also help to identify what successful change will look like, enabling the celebration of success and increasing people’s understanding of areas which need more work.
Using the Outcomes Star can also be a great value in evidencing an organisation’s work, providing support for funding applications, along with information to inform reports to commissioners, service reviews, quality assurance and improving client involvement.
