Session 3 2017

Hear from Craig Spencer Head of Community Engagement at Bankwest about the role the private sector can (and should) play in supporting NFP and community based organisations, why the Bankwest Foundation has partnered with the UWA Centre for Social Impact to undertake a research program focussed on supporting development and growth in the Community Sector in WA. Craig will also share the research recommendations on how to improve Outcomes Measurement practice in the Community Sector.

Presenter, Craig Spencer

Craig is the Head of Community Engagement for Bankwest, accountable for the Bankwest Community Engagement programs including colleague volunteering, community sponsorships and strategic partnerships such as the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre. Craig is also the Executive Manager of the Bankwest Foundation.

Craig joined Bankwest in 2006 as the Head of Organisational Development and Human Resources for the Group Support Divisions. Previously he was Manager of Human Resources for B Digital, a start-up Telecommunications company in WA, and his first role in WA was as Head of HR for Challenge Bank as the culmination of a 13 year career in banking with Westpac.

Craig is Chairman of Volunteering WA, the peak body for volunteering in Western Australia and also a community representative on the Bindoon Primary School Board. He is a fellow of Leadership WA, a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors since 2006 and a graduate member of the Governance Institute of Australia.
