Sector Training Activities
Individualised Planning Workshop 1
As part of the National Disability Services WA (NDS) and WA Individualised Services (WAIS) partnership on procurement reform, a series of Individualised Planning workshops will be delivered commencing in June.
Under the Delivering Community Services in Partnership policy and associated procurement reforms within the disability sector, there is an increased focus on achieving outcomes for people with disability. As part of this process, the Disability Services Commission is initially using individual plans and their review as indicators of an outcomes based approach. These workshops and materials will help people working in the disability sector to develop individual plans using a person-centred approach.
To help participants embed the learning within their organisation, each full-day workshop will have a half-day follow-up session. People from regional organisations who cannot attend the follow-up session will be able to avail of remote supports such as web/ teleconferencing and telephone support. Further details will be available soon.
Who should attend?
These workshops are essential for team leaders, service co-ordinators and all staff who develop and review individual plans who can share what they learn with those delivering services.
