Outcomes Based Contracting

As part of NDS' Procurement Reform Project, NDS has engaged consultants Barbara Gatter and Colin Penter to develop resource materials and deliver a series of workshops on "Outcomes Based Contracting".

The objective of the workshops is to prepare the sector to respond to tenders and deliver services in line with the Delivering Community Services in Partnership policy, including the focus on achieving outcomes and improving services for people, and promoting innovation.

By using a practical approach, including case studies, it is anticipated that the workshops will help organisations to consider components of tendering and service delivery such as identifying strategies to achieve outcomes, quality features of the organisation, and approaches to establishing and reviewing individual plans.

NDS has been funded to deliver this project under the "Fostering Partnership" grants programme and for this grant, we are partnering with WA Individualised Services Inc. (WAIS).

These workshops are being delivered at a time when the Disability Services Commission will have published its Request for Tender for the Individual Funding Panel Contract, which is expected to have a closing date of 3rd April 2013.  The Commission has stated that this Request for Tender is only open to existing service providers.

Who should attend?

Not for profit service providers within the disability sector in WA, including CEOs, senior managers and other involved in service planning and / or contracting for services.
