Overview of Training
E-QUAL tailors training to meet the needs of each customer. A skilled facilitator conducts all training. Other trainers, with specific knowledge of key topics and/or personal experience of disability, facilitate particular sessions according to the customer’s needs. 
 
Programs and Packages Provided

The following are examples of training developed and conducted for public authorities, non government agencies and private organisations.  Other training can be developed to meet particular needs.

Disability awareness training including:

  • Government's Role in Improving Access for People with Disabilities – For Executive Management
  • Serving Customers with Disabilities – For all staff involved with assisting and communicating with customers with disabilities.
  • Developing an Accessible Community - For staff from planning, building, engineering and parks.
  • Accessible Public Events - For all staff involved with public events.
  • Accessible Information – For all staff involved with the provision of information including graphics, administration, marketing, library and information technology.
  • Access for All - For Primary School students and their teachers.

 

Rights and leadership training including:

  • Rights for All – For people with a disability and their carers or advocates.
  • Developing Active Citizens – For people with a disability and their carers or advocates.
  • Complaints Resolution – For people with a disability and their carers or advocates.

Quality Assurance and Standards training including:

  • About QA and Standards – For disability services staff, people with a disability and their carers or advocates.
  • Auditor Training – For staff, consumers and auditors of disability services.
File Note Writing – For disability services staff.
