Is There Such a Thing as a Good Group Home?

What does the research tell us?

What action do we need to take to improve quality and safeguarding?

What are the alternatives?

We are excited to be hosting a workshop with Professor Christine Bigby on group homes, which constitutes a significant element of the system of services that support people with disabilities.

Professor Christine Bigby from the La Trobe Living with Disability Research Centre is an expert in the area, having authored a multitude of publications.

Hear the latest research, learn about the impact of the culture in shared living environments and the role of practice leadership. Have the chance to explore the alternatives and learn about practical strategies to make 'good group homes’
